Michael Murphy is the world's pre-eminent perceptual artist, creating interactive installations that aim to engage and challenge audiences to experience art in new and transformative ways.
In the field of perceptual art, his work explores the interplay of light, shadow, color, dimension and sound to create immersive environments that blur the boundaries between sight and perception.
A graduate of The Art Institute of Chicago, Murphy’s early portrait of presidential candidate Barack Obama in 2007 sparked the "Art for Obama" movement that grew to include works from thousands of artists. He has been commissioned for collaborations by household names around the world including Nike, Netflix, PepsiCo, Samsung, NFL, Google, Tumi, Toyota, FOX Sports, Sky Sports ESPN and A&E, among many others.
Perceptual Experience is the largest single collection of his works. Chicago is the world premiere to be followed by a multi-year worldwide tour.
